Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening or bleaching is a common procedure in general dentistry. According to the FDA, whitening restores natural tooth colour and bleaching whitens beyond the natural colour.

Teeth whitening methods

Teeth whitening has become the most requested procedure in cosmetic dentistry today. Millions in the UK whiten their teeth in one way or another.

Simple and effective

Teeth whitening is a simple and affordable way to enhance your smile. We at Ernevale House will spend time explaining to you the different types of whitening to determine which is the most suitable for your needs.

Home whitening system

Our home whitening system is suitable for patients who wish to be in full control of how white their teeth become.

We will provide you with a whitening kit and explain how to use it;  this way you can carry out the treatment in the comfort of your own home. With this procedure your teeth will gradually get whiter and you are in full control of how naturally white your teeth become.

As time goes by you can simply ‘top up’ your whitening to retain the desired shade. Top-up kits are available at the practice under dentist supervision.

Teeth Whitening can only be performed by a dentist or another regulated dental professional such as a dental hygienist or dental therapist (under prescription of a dentist). Beauty salons are not allowed to perform teeth whitening. Not only is it illegal to offer teeth whitening without a regulated dental professional present, it could also put your health at serious risk.
